PROJECT MANAGER

More than the ability of a designer, the relationship between the homeowner and their designer is initially based on personality and trust.  In order to customize the space, the relationship develops fairly quickly from learning about your lifestyle, habits and family interaction.  There is specific information that I’ll collect that will not only assist in the planning of your space, but may introduce you to customizing and organizational techniques that you likely didn’t even know existed. 

Early on, as a freelancer, I provided design services casually, which allowed me the flexibility to work my way through Design Management at BCIT, while raising my children.  Once completing the program, I opened an interior design studio, which grew to offer a premier showroom experience to clients. Subsequently, making a slight shift within the industry, I concentrated on kitchen & bathroom design, specializing in the custom cabinetry required therein. 

I then widened my range to manage full-scope construction projects, from early stage Pre-Construction; estimating, space planning and facilitating the permit application process, into design development and interior selections ..and carrying right through the Construction Phase; managing project budgets and construction schedules, ordering, invoicing & billing, and directing tradespeople & suppliers  ..to Project Completion.  

A new direction unfolded while launching Kitchen Renos West, my boutique-inspired kitchen design | build company. Now, with over 20 years of experience within the construction industry, I specialize in custom kitchen and bathroom renovations.  Enhancing environments to distinctively reflect the individuals whom inhabit them, I manage to create physical surroundings which uplift and soothe simultaneously.  Experience, proven processes and a commitment to progression, continues to produce sustainable interiors for perceptive homeowners.  I have an educative approach to design, and my adaptable personality seems to generate relaxed, casual relationships that oftentimes last for years.
